Founder and Female Small Business Owner
Nadia Auxila McIntosh
Women Affairs of
AMH Inc.
Born in Brooklyn, New York in October of 1960, Nadia Auxila always stood out amongst others. She spent the majority of her childhood and adolescence with her family in Port Au Prince, Haiti. As a young adult, she came back to The US and worked hard to maintain life on her own.
Having suffered poverty and homelessness many times within her life, Ms.Auxila made it her mission to become a comfort to those who have no one else. In 2006, Nadia moved to Baltimore, MD and soon after began housing homeless women in her own home until she was able to obtain a facility where these women could temporarily call home while they fixed their lives. In her neighborhood, she was known as “Momma Nadia” as people always gravitated to her for support in many areas where it was needed. Food, Finances, Clothing, and Shelter were the essentials she has always provided to the community and surrounding entities all on her own with the support of the community.
In 2022, Women Affairs of AMH Inc., a nonprofit organization whose dedication is with the needy women and men alike, will be celebrating 16 years of operation in Baltimore, MD.
“I’’ve always known Allah wanted me to be that someone who saves the people. I am grateful for His inspiration and his permission to do this work here while I am still alive, and with His continued assistance all our work will do is continue to help more and more people
